Marshall tops Corliss for 1st win

Marshall coach Luther Bedford has been in the business too longto get worried over a little losing streak.

And with a young team, he knows that patience is a necessity.

Snapping a four-game losing streak and winning its first game ofthe year, Marshall (1-4) dropped Corliss 58-53 Tuesday afternoon atCorliss.

"Our kids were nervous, but those things happen when you havesuch a young team," said Bedford, who starts two sophomores, twojuniors and a senior. "We didn't have any games last week and wejust worked hard in practice. We figured if we worked hard, we'dget one and today we did."
